- Initial Group Stage: All teams play four games in four groups of five. The top two from each group advance to the Super 8s.
- Super 8s: Two groups of four teams each, played solely in the Caribbean. India, Pakistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, and Sri Lanka are seeded.
- Semi-finals: Top two from each Super 8 group face off.
- Points: Teams earn 2 points for a win, 1 for a no result, and 0 for a loss.
- No ties in T20 cricket!

- Group A: Canada, India, Ireland, Pakistan, USA
- Group B: Australia, England, Namibia, Oman, Scotland
- Group C: Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Uganda, West Indies
- Group D: Bangladesh, Nepal, Netherlands, South Africa, Sri Lanka.
- Venues:
- Matches will be held in the United States and the Caribbean. The final is scheduled for June 29 in Barbados.
