However, a spokesperson clarified that the video was not a campaign ad and had been reposted by a staffer who overlooked the problematic language.
Following criticism, Trump removed the video from his account. The term “Reich” historically refers to various German empires, but it is also closely linked to Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship during the Third Reich.
